Daily Recap: Day 1 (Again)

Well what can I say, other than I suck at diet and exercise.

Breakfast

One Oscar Mayer Bologna Sandwich

Lunch

Michelina Mac & Cheese Entree

A handful of Flamin' Hot Cheetos

Dinner

Another Oscar Mayer Bologna Sandwich, handful of Chex Mix, and a small cup of Chocolate Pudding

Snacks

One piece of Chocolate Cake; look I do pretty good on the cake, candy, and ice cream this is by far not the worst thing hindering my diet and exercise.

Yep I totally suck, got a Dairy Queen Blizzard with the wife.

Buti Fitness (Video)

Holy crap! Video proof needed for anyone who actually gives this a try!

I'm exhausted just from watching this video, and this was just 10 minutes of a normally 60 minute program, wow!

Yoga, Or Not To Yoga

First let me make this perfectly clear, I have never been able to touch my toes, even when I was little or in great shape; when asked in P.E. or during my 12 week stay in the local Law Enforcement Academy I would bend about half way down and then lift my legs up one at a time.

So the simple fact is, Yoga scares the crap out of me. No guy should ever be able to bend in the ways Yoga requires, it's just unnatural.

Interestingly I'm still willing to give Yoga a try, and have even narrowed it down to attempting the following 11 poses:

So who's ready to give this a try with me? Anyone? Guys? Ladies? Come on people!

Also does anyone know how long each pose should be held?

So...Let's Try This Again

Well that sure didn't go so well. Not only have I stopped exercising but the diet has just been blown to hell.

Now I could type all of my excuses of how none of this is my fault and that life has just been unfair to me and that no matter what I do there was just no way to prevent what has transpired to cause for things to go south. But I'm not going to do that.

What I am going to do is take full responsibility for my lack of commitment to my goal of losing weight and getting healthier. It's nobody's fault but my own. Yes there really are some things that one can not prevent from occurring, but how we deal with those items is within our control.

Starting tomorrow the plan is to once again start up the Daily Recaps (starting back with Day 1), cracking down on the diet, and possibly putting in a little exercise*.

*Note: though I haven't been doing any tradition exercises, the wife and I have been pulling up carpet in preparation of laying laminate flooring; also I've managed to pull a muscle around my ribs on the left side of my chest (for the third time in two years), so it'll be a run on the Gazelle if nothing else.

Day 2: Recap (12-2-13)

Started a weight loss competition with a coworker for some extra motivation. We have a scale here that we can use for weigh-in purposes and will do so every Monday morning. Today's weigh-in put me at 250.0 lbs exactly.

Breakfast

One bowl of Fruity Ringers

Lunch

Banquet Boneless Pork Riblet Meal (includes corn and mashed potatoes)

Dinner

Chocolate Royale Slimfast Shake

Snacks

Oats and Chocolate Granola Bar

Drinks

Water, water, and more water.

Exercise

Managed to get in a sad ten minutes on the Gazelle before distractions ended the workout.

Day 1: Recap (12-1-13)

Breakfast

Two bowls of Fruity Ringers (cheap Fruit Loops from Save-A-Lot)

Lunch

Knorr's Parmesan and Bacon Noodles

Dinner

Picked up a Dairy Queen FlameThrower GrillBurger with Fries. I know not the best option but hey at least I stayed strong and avoided the temptation of Ice Cream.

Snacks

Handful of pretzel sticks

Drinks

Stuck with water except for a glass of chocolate milk and a bottle of SoBe Fuji Apple Pear.

The let down of the day, well besides the DQ dinner, was the lack of exercise. To be exact there was no exercise :(
